The next PARE session will be on 19 June – 2.00-3.30 pm (SYD time) and facilitated by Terrie Paterson, James Cook University PhD candidate will facilitate this session.
We have had a number of attendees who have found these sessions invaluable to establishing/maintaining their eportfolio practices to achieve their career and professional goals, as well as, expanding their eportfolio networks.

AI & Portfolios webinar – 22 June: Global perspectives on artificial intelligence and portfolios
Artificial intelligence (AI) has taken centre stage in education with the release of ChatGPT in November 2022. Many conversations in education revolve around exploring the benefits and challenges of this text-generating AI and other AI applications which impact how learning and assessment may continue. This in turn impacts ePortfolio practice.
This has led AAEEBL, ePortfolios Australia, and Eportfolio Ireland to partner in an AI & Portfolios webinar series, with the first webinar discussing: ‘Artificial intelligence and portfolios’ to foster discussions within our global communities’.
This webinar will ask:
- What is the influence of AI on portfolios?
- What are the implications for using AI in portfolio practice?

ePortfolio Pedagogies webinar – 8 June: Ethical engagement and empowered student feedback
UNSW’s Scientia Education Academy are hosting Associate Professor, Christine Slade and Learning Designer, Shari Bowker from the University of Queensland for an online lecture of AAEEBL’s Task Force Digital Ethics in ePortfolios topic of: Ethical engagement and empowered student feedback on 8 June 12.00-1.00 pm Aus EST (SYD time).
This lecture will explore the importance of ethical ePortfolio practices and the shift towards empowering students in their feedback processes and utilising ePortfolios for assessment and learning.

Registrations to open soon: 2023 Eportfolio Forum (Dual Delivery)
The Call for proposals for 2023 Eportfolio Forum in Darwin/Larrakia Land on 11-12 October at Charles Darwin University have now closed – but preparations for opening registrations are next on the agenda.
This year’s Forum’s theme is: Emerging, Connecting, Sustaining
2023 Eportfolio Forum is again dual delivery, so people can present/facilitate either live in Darwin/Larrakia Land, online via webinar or via a recording.
This year’s Forum will be highly interactive, with all sessions involving some type of audience participation – so please watch this space for the opening of registration.

AAEEBL’s Annual Meeting – July 2023 – AAEEBL’s 2023 Annual Meeting will be held at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and online, on various dates in July.
This year’s meeting will focus on ePortfolio Learning in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Fostering Authentic Assessment Through Inclusive Pedagogies and Design Justice.
