The call for proposals for the 2021 Eportfolio Forum on 20-21 October 2021 are now closed.

Submissions were being accepted for:

  • 20×20 presentation – 6-7 mins presentation consisting of 20 timed slides which run for 20 secs each + 7-8 mins Q&A (21 October)
  • Digitally Interactive Poster – 6-7 mins electronic poster presentation which is showcased via a computer during a break-out session, and allows participants to interact with the information via a computer or mobile device for 7-8 mins (21 October) – Suggested applications to create your digitally interactive poster includes: H5P, Advanced PowerPoint or Google Slides, ThinglinkGlogsterCanvaPiktochart – click here to review Larissa D’Angelo’s From Posters to e-Posters: The Evolution of a Genre
  • Intensive workshop – 60 mins hands-on session where participants are actively involved (20 October) – You must be an experienced online facilitator or have a co-facilitator with online facilitation experience.  You will also be asked to provide indicative activities you will undertake which are suitable for online & face to face attendees.
  • In-depth workshop – 90 mins hands-on session where participants are actively involved (21 October) – You must be an experienced online facilitator or have a co-facilitator with online facilitation experience.  You will also be asked to provide indicative activities you will undertake which are suitable for online & face to face attendees.
  • Facilitate a professional conversation – lead a 50 min group discussion around a topic (21 October) – no presentation slides permitted – must be suitable for online & face to face attendees
  • Shortened (peer reviewed paper) presentation – 15 min presentation + 5 min Q&A based on a 900-1200 word (+ abstract) published peer reviewed paper (20 October) – click here to download the Shortened (peer reviewed) presentation paper – Style Guide

Not sure about presenting / facilitating in a blended environment eg (presenting / facilitating face to face & online participants at the same time)?  Consider:

  • Putting out a call to collaborate with others via the Eportfolios Community of Practice Facebook Group
  • ePortfolios Australia will provide:
    • online workshop / facilitation tips/tricks
    • planning templates 
    • training leading up to the Forum
    • an online & face to face moderator to assist with each session

Call for proposal timeline:

  • 15 March 2021 – Open call for proposals
  • 14 June 2021 – Close call for proposals
  • Week beginning 21 June 2021 – Notify outcome of call for proposal submissions (including notification of invitation to submit a peer reviewed paper)
  • 2 August 2021 – Submission of peer reviewed papers
  • 30 August 2021 – Notify of acceptance of peer reviewed pending any required revisions
  • 27 September 2021 – Submission of updated peer reviewed papers
  • 13 October 2021 – Submission of presentation slides and handouts
  • 20-21 October 202 – 2021 Eportfolio Forum

Proposal themes and sub-theme:

Proposals should fit into one or more of the following conference sub-themes. Those proposals not fitting into these themes should provide an explanation of how the proposal supports the overall event theme of “Thinking and acting differently”.

You will be asked to explain how your proposal meets the conference theme and selected sub-theme(s), and the learning outcomes for participants of your proposal as part of the submission process.
