The call for proposals for the 2016 Eportfolio Forum is now closed.

Submissions were called for:

  • Poster – A0 static presentation which is pinned up at the Forum (both days)
  • Short (peer reviewed paper) presentation – 15 min presentation + 5 min Q&A – published peer reviewed paper on day one (28 Sept) – click here to download the Short (peer reviewed) presentation paper – Style Guide
  • 20×20 presentation  6-7 mins presentation consisting of 20 slides which run for 20 secs each on day one (28 Sept)
  • Short workshop – 40 mins hands-on/interactive session on day two (29 Sept)
  • Facilitate a professional conversation – lead a group discussion around a topic during the ‘Ideas Exchange’ working lunch on day two (29 Sept) – no presentation slides permitted
  • Long workshop – 2.25 hr hands-on/interactive session on day two (29 Sept)

at the 2016 Eportfolio Forum on 28-29 September at Sydney Conservatorium of Music at the University of Sydney.

Call for proposal timeline:

  • 8 April – Open call for proposals
  • 6 June – Close call for proposals
  • Week beginning 20 June – Notify outcome of call for proposal submissions (including notification of invitation to submit a peer reviewed paper)
  • 18 July – Submission of peer reviewed papers
  • 8 August – Notify of acceptance of peer reviewed pending any required revisions
  • 7 September – Submission of updated peer reviewed papers

Proposal themes:

Proposals should fit into one or more of the following themes.  Those proposals not fitting into these themes should provide an explanation of how the proposal supports the overall event theme of “Connecting learning into the future”.

Evaluating the impact of eportfolio use

    • Measuring the effect of eportfolio use
    • Communicating the impact of an eportfolio learning approach
    • Measuring skill acquisition and educational needs of students through eportfolio use
    • Learning analytics and adaptive learning – how do eportfolios fit into this?

Eportfolios beyond formal education and training

    • Understanding business and working in a global marketplace through eportfolios
    • Connecting with industry / employers via eportfolios
    • Professional standards and eportfolios
    • Eportfolios as the new CV

Eportfolios supporting career development

    • Defining our identities in changing workplaces and marketplaces through eportfolios
    • Considering entrepreneurship, innovation and risk taking through eportfolios
    • ePortfolios for different purposes throughout our career

Eportfolios supporting professionalism

    • Defining/Redefining graduate employability
    • Creating a professional presence through eportfolios
    • Profiling occupations and analysing professional experiences through eportfolios
    • Building/understanding our professional identity through eportfolios

Eportfolio pedagogy

    • Learning centred approaches – preparing people for the changing workplace through eportfolios
    • Change and innovation in learning centred approaches to career development with eportfolio
    • Eportfolios: reflection and reflective practice

Eportfolio technical innovation and issues

    • Open badges, xAPI etc
